Marina Junqueira Marina hails from Brazil and moved to the USA at an early age. Following her interest in Brazilian culture, she began taking Samba classes with Maria Souza and progressed to join Aquarela as one of its principal dancers. Over the years, she has joyfully participated in numerous Carnaval parades and Balls as enthu-siastic interpretor of authentic Brazilian culture. Marina recently graduated with teaching credentials from San Francisco State University. She lives in Berkeley and works in Oakland.
