Abigail (Abby) Jaramillo

Abby Jaramillo has been inspired by the energy of samba since her first visit to Silvana's dance class. She has trained with Silvana since 2001, participated with Aquarela in four San Francisco Carnaval Grand Parades, and joined the group as full member in 2004. After growing up on the US East Coast, Abby lived in Peru and Ecuador before settling in San Francisco. She founded and directs the nonprofit organization Urban Sprouts, that builds school garden programs in public schools.
